Her colleagues present this token of their esteem and of their gratitude for her important contributions and unique mastery in the anesthetic management of patients with complex congenital and acquired cardiovascular disease; for her tireless efforts and dedication to the progress in the practice, research and teaching of cardiovascular anesthesia; for her unwavering support and advances in the anesthetic and critical care management of neonates, infants and children at Mayo Clinic Rochester; for her scholarship and commitment to clinical research and surgical collaboration in all areas of our specialty, resulting in her appointment to Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Mayo Medical School; for her didactic and mentorship abilities that have inspired so many anesthesia trainees; for her dedication and commitment to humanitarian outreach activities; for her unwavering pursuit of intellectual and technical excellence in the operating room and the intensive care unit; for her willingness to work with the surgical team to take on extremely difficult cases and always providing hope to a child and their family; for her intellectual honesty that has guided and continues to inspire her colleagues and trainees; for her compassion, empathy and professionalism; and for her steadfast loyalty to that living body of high principles that were initiated by the Founders, William James Mayo, M.D., and Charles Horace Mayo, M.D., and that now clearly are recognized as the ideals of Mayo Clinic.
