His colleagues present this token of their esteem and of their gratitude for his 35 years of outstanding service and contributions to Facilities and Support Services; for his vision to develop a Facilities Management service model that improved efficiency of operations, improved data for decision making, identified key performance indicators and grew staff to support this endeavor; for his commitment to furthering his own education and those surrounding him; for providing his utility, infrastructure, and regulatory expertise to multiple Mayo Clinic committees; for the caring, calm and wise demeanor exhibited during times of great achievement and especially during challenging times; for his service to his community including the Dick Hiley St. Jude Bass Classic fundraiser and his church; for his love of fishing, spending time in Florida and spending time with his wife Michelle, his children and grandchildren; and for his steadfast loyalty to that living body of high principles that were initiated by the Founders, William James Mayo, M.D., and Charles Horace Mayo, M.D., and that now clearly are recognized as the ideals of Mayo Clinic.
