"What an incredible honor and surprise it is to be named Distinguished Clinician. The mentorship, advice, and caring of many people helped me be a better person/physician, yet I only have space to thank a few. Dr. Thomas Gonwa, my mentor, played the biggest role in my education and development as a leader. To Dr. Burcin Taner, thanks for letting me me ride your coattails as we survived COVID and markedly grew the practice. Dr. Hani Wadei’s wonderful sense of humor makes it easier to come to work each day. Thank you Melanie Harrell for your calm demeanor over the past 20 years.
